Music Page

==============================================================================

This page will include links to sites offering samples/downloads of their music.  There are many great pages put out by performers & groups showcasing their performance of classical music.

2/2006:  I see many of these links are dead now.  I’ll clean up soon.

Educational Links

Check out Matthew Boynick’s Classical Music Pages.  Good bios on many composers as well as background information on musical forms and musical history.

This page examines biblical references in classical music:  http://www.kolumbus.fi/justal/bibmus/index.htm

Classical Music

Singakademie Tsukuba:  The home page for this Japanese choir; here’s the mp3 page.  They have a fantastic sound.  I hope to see them in Japan some day.

Sinfonietta Bardou:  A German Symphony Orchestra’s works.  Very nice!  Several concerts are presented – nice layout including the performance posters.

Chor de University de Witten/Herdecke (Germany):  This is their mp3 site; if you read German, you can read all about them in the left-hand nav bar.  They have a wonderful sound.

MIT Concert Choir:  A VERY nice selection of works – sacred music.

KFS-Chor Bad Homburg:  A German  choral group – site is in German, so I’m guessing.  Beautiful version of Liszt’s Missa Choralis.  Performances from 1987 – 1992.
